The CM keyboard was right out, the typing experience was just OK and it was hard to clean out all the gunk (and hair). Now that I needed a good typing keyboard and to consider the space it is in, all kinds of things became relevant that were not before. Once I transitioned to working from home full-time though, the paradigm shifted enough to start re-evaluating my setup. Overall, I was happy with one, and satisfied with the other. What’s the point of a great typing keyboard when all I’d probably use is the WASD (I thought). A solid block of plastic and ABS keycaps. The CM board was just pure function over form. Plus the floating keys were easy to clean and blow any crap out with compressed air. Really fancy one for work since I type there the most, and it didn’t look *too* gamer-y. They were the most expensive keyboards I’ve had to date and felt like the real “end game” boards to me. AVADON THE BLACK FORTRESS SMUGGLER PROMostly cheap-o stuff that I just threw away once they inevitably stopped working or just got clogged with cat hair or whatever.Ī few years ago I got a Logitech G513 Carbon for work and a Cooler Master Quickfire Pro (non LED version) for home. Smuggling a Brown switch board into work so I don’t annoy too many coworkers. I have fond memories of clacking away on super loud Blue switches while playing World of Warcraft. I’ve always had some kind of “gamer” keyboard or another, Logitech or Corsair and a few cheap unbranded ones from China. They feel good, they sound great and hey: they look amazing. I’ve always been a fan of mechanical keyboards.
